Respiratory Therapist Pomerene Hospital currently has several openings for Respiratory Therapists in our Respiratory Department. These positions include casual part time, part time (18 hours a week) and full time (36 hours a week) The daily work hours for these positions will be 12 hour shifts; however hours may vary based on the needs of the department. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for obtaining, analyzing, testing, measuring, and monitoring blood gas samples; administering, monitoring, recording results of or instructing in the use of medical gases, aerosols and bronchopulmonary hygiene techniques; performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, mechanical ventilation and administering medications for the testing or treatment of cardiopulmonary impaired patients of all ages. Under the supervision of the Respiratory Manager and upon request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of equipment to be utilized in diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary disease and/or illness according to established standards and practice. The Respiratory Therapist must be competent in all standard respiratory modalities including: emergency resuscitation, ventilator care and management. Successful candidates will have an Ohio Respiratory Therapist license, ACLS, STABLE and NRP certifications. Candidates must adhere to the I am Pomerene and ICARE values.
