CASEWORKER Provides social casework services to abused and neglected children and their families. Investigates reports of abuse/neglect of children to determine risk. Works closely with courts, schools, mental health, and various community agencies. Responsible for development and implementation of comprehensive treatment plans to ensure child protection and family reunification. Performs paid emergency duty services on a rotating basis. Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field required. Prefer candidates with 102 credit hours State of Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (Caseworker Core.) Must hold a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain automobile liability insurance. Excellent benefit package includes PERS, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and generous leave time accrual. Intake Screener Responsible for receiving, screening and processing all inquiries related to, reports of abuse, neglect, dependency, information/referrals & Family in Need of Services (in person, electronically or by phone). Determines agency response with oversight from supervisor. Serves on emergency duty rotation. At times may carry a small assessment caseload. Collects and analyzes screening data and provides graphs to Executive Director. Assists Community Outreach Education Coordinator in doing CA/N trainings. Acts as agency representative to the community on a limited basis. Trains new employees on screening. Performs other related duties as assigned. Prefer Masters Degree in Social Work with four(4) years experience in Children Services. Minimum requirements are Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related degree, two years current experience in Child Protective Services, which must include SACWIS experience. Exceptional interviewing skills and excellent oral and written communication capabilities. Ability to relate to individuals from various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with child abuse and neglect dynamic and Alternative Response. Community resource knowledge beneficial.
